His name: Hugh MacLeod, of the clan MacLeod. Taking the phrase "There can be only one" to heart, Hugh started down the path of sketch cartoonery much to the dismay of his relatives - who were often the butt of his high-brow humor. They would have preferred he pursue a more respected career path - something in the custodial arts, perhaps? No matter, Hugh pushed onward - never giving up on his dream of one day owning a yacht, sailing on a sea of fine wine, and playing "connect the dots" while having sex with cash and business theory. Taking refuge in the comfort of a pencil, Hugh began to believe in his wicked little world - to the point where he actually Monkeyboned himself into it. If you happen to find Mr. MacLeod in a bar, do not approach lest you wish to incur his comical wrath on the following day.

Week 137 Assignment 2 for Take A Class With Dave and Dave.

Ha Ha Ha Create an image that makes us laugh!

I really wasn't sure what I was going to do for this assignment. In case you can't tell from the previous week's selfies, I've been in a bit of a dark mood lately. Sometimes, you get enough bad news, or no news in some cases, that is just builds up into a darker, more irritable mood. Needless to say, I wasn't feeling very ha ha funny funny this past week so finding humor was a bit difficult.

Today I did have a bit of a lift, which was nice. It wasn't much, but I actually got a letter from one of the places I applied to letting me know they got my resume and they are actually reviewing it. While it doesn't mean much job wise, just hearing that they got it and an actual person looked at it and then took the time to let me know all of that really does mean a lot emotionally. It is quite frustrating to send out resume after resume after resume after resume after resume and so on and so on and not hear a damn thing back. You might get a form e-mail when you submit to a site, but that doesn't mean that a person looked at it. All that means is that their computer is acknowledging that the file you sent was received. An actual letter, however, and one that was actually signed, means that an actual person touched it.

I have no idea what sparked this idea, but once it was in my head, I couldn't get it out, and just had to try it. I don't know that I am 100% happy with it, but it works. I wanted the face to look a bit more 3D. It is something I'll have to work on, but all in all, not so bad.
